“… [W]e may finally reach such a goal as self-actualization, as self-perfection, when freed from the chains of Death. One need not pour libations to unjust gods to save one’s soul from oblivion or Abyssal monstrosities. For sacrificing oneself unto the gods is to compromise what Reason dictates is good and right and just. Freedom is required to be truly virtuous, and to shatter the chains of Death is to be free to truly choose without coercion.”
